Niambe Cherry Blossom Painting is DONE

 I painted another painting!! It tured out beautifully. This was one I worked on since Decemeber 2023.

I am so excited to try these new techniques out with future paintings.

The light novel serial draft is coming along really nicely. I noticed when I draft I focus more on dialuge and setting because I can fill in the blanks with other scene details when I go back in. As long as I know the genre conventions and key scenes and characters motivations I just let myself sit in the driver's seat and let the characters talk and take over. It's really interesting how I have gotten more comfortable over the decades allowing the characters to do their thing, and then me coming back later to ask, so that was great, let's us it all.

I am reminded of a Clint Eastwood method where he and his team know eachother's routines and systems so well they tend to use first takes.

So the characters get their first takes and I tend to use these for final chapters.

The Dragon Prince fanfic I worked on still needs updating and I find myself revisiting it to just finish the remaining chapters. Maybe when I have time. Fanfics now a days help with character studies so I can do my stand alone series with accuracy and know what works within the story and narrative.

My villains tend to be really dark and manipulate and others are more bullies. I do enjoy villains being villains and antagonists being antagonists.
